"She's not my Megs any more," he said before adding: "It's over. There's no going back. I gave her everything and it wasn't enough."
The former Love Island lad says he's focusing on himself rn, revealing: "I'm doing me now. I'm happy."
While the pair are somewhat renowned for their breakup to makeup behaviour, Mike says he's not holding out for a reunion this time.
"I don't know what the future holds, but I don't hold out much hope."
"There's only so much you can keep trying when it's not working. You've got to do what makes you happy."
The couple dated (on and off) for seven months before Mike was seen removing his belongings from her Essex pad last week.
Megs has also opened up about the split.
"I can’t even say why we split. I just feel like we’re both at a different point in our lives," she explained to OK! Magazine.
"We both respect each other and we didn’t want it to get nasty or messy. There is only so much you can do in a relationship and when it’s not working you’ve got to take separate routes," she continued.
She added: "But I wish him all the luck in the world, he’s not a nasty person. Everything happens for a reason. It wasn’t one of those break-ups like ones I’ve had in the past where it was really bitter and nasty, this was more a decision we made together.
Going deeper into it, she told the mag: "When I get into a relationship with someone I give it my all because I feel like, what’s the point of going in half-hearted? I’m one of those people who gives my everything to someone, so obviously it’s been hard.
"It’s not exactly been the easiest ride but I feel like I’m a lot stronger than I used to be. It’s just a shame, really."
Is it just us, or do they both sound pretty gutted the relationship ended?
Whether or not the pair decide to reconcile, whatever is meant to be will always find a way.
