Mila Kunis Confirms Pregnancy On Ellen
Chat show host feeds movie star pickles and sauerkraut as they talk baby news...
The actress went on Ellen DeGeneres' chat show in the US to talk about her big news - and the equally important matter of food cravings.
Ellen began the chat by saying: "Congratulations, so you hid it for a while, you got away with it for a long time.
To which Mila replied: "I did. I managed to hide it for a very long time."
"So you're not saying when it's due or anything like that?"
"Sometime this year," Mila hedged. "I promise you. It will be this year."
"You're not saying if it's a boy or a girl?"
"Do you have a name picked out?"
Talking cravings, Mila admitted to being "very stereotypical".
She said: "I eat sauerkraut all day long."
The host then called a flunky on stage to offer a tray of pickles and sauerkraut.
And she admitted that she and hubby-to-be Ashton Kutcher had gone to great lengths to prepare for the impact of food cravings.
"He assumed that I was gonna have goofy cravings, so he stocked our secondary fridge with weird food," Mila explained.
"Just like pickles and sauerkraut, or like anchovies and ice creams. Just in case at one point during this pregnancy I'd be like I really want something.
"And it happened last week, I was like oh my God, I need a pickle. Like it was just the weirdest thing. Like I needed this pickle and he was like hold on a second and disappeared in the backyard and came back with the most amazing dill pickle of all time."
Mila also broached the subject of her plans for the birth - revealing that she is opting for a natural birth in hospital and does not want an epidural.
She explained: "I want it to be as au naturel as it possibly can, unless there's an emergency or something."
