Demi Lovatohas revealed she's "happy" forMiley Cyrusfollowing her controversial behaviour.

When quizzed about the Wrecking Ball singer on Fox 31's Everyday, Lovato said that she's good friends with Mi-Cy and is glad she's doing things her way.

The Skyscraper star explained: "Miley has been one of my best friends growing up and so I'm happy for her.

"She's doing what she wants to do, and this is her time to break out and figure out what she wants to do in her career and her image and everything."

Lovato added: "I'm just happy seeing her happy, because I love her so much and she doesn't care what people think - nor should she."

During an appearance on The Today Show, Miley herself also told host Matt Lauer that she's the "happiest" she's ever been, adding: "I don't ever really plan to offend people."

She went on to state that she won't be taming her sexual image any time soon, explaining: "I heard when you turn 40 things start to go a little less sexual, so probably around that time."
