Miley Cyrus' mum Tish has brought the star a new dog following the death of Alaskan Klee Kai Floyd last week.

The star took to Twitter to introduce new pooch Moonie to her fans, but revealed that the pooch would never take Floyd's place after his sudden passing last Wednesday (April 2).

Introducing Moonie to the world, Mi-Cy tweeted a snap of her puppy, along with the caption: "My mama knew my heart was broken & this morning I woke up to Moonie kisses.

"No one could ever replace my baby Floyd but this precious angel is lending me some fur to cry on along with my other babies."

Despite her new arrival, Cyrus is still clearly mourning the loss of Floyd, later tweeting: "So torn. I love having little Moonie cuddle w me and Mary Jane but just don't know if I'm ready to love again.

"I was/still kinda am torn about Moonie bc I would do anything 2 hold Floyd. But I can't, Moonie is giving me so much [love]. Just don't know if it's too soon.

"But I just gotta take it one day at a time and take in all the love little Moonie is giving me."

She went on to post a pic of her other dog Mary Jane, adding that she "misses Floyd too", before writing: "Excruciating pain."

Cyrus shocked fans during her Bangerz tour show in New York over the weekend after performing with a massive blow-up tribute to Floyd at the Barclays Centre.
