Miley Cyrus has hit out at trolls who have branded her an "ugly lesbian" on Twitter.

Miley wrote: "When you need someone you just turn around & I will be there. When you're feeling low baby let me know & I will be there..." @britneyspears."
Over the weekend, the 21-year old joked around by posting a snap of herself and her pet pooch, wearing a fake pair of teeth.
