Miley Cyrus Slams Rumours About Her Medical Condition

The twerking star has taken to Twitter to respond to false reports about her health...

Miley Cyrus was taken ill earlier this week, which halted her Bangerz tour in the US.

And now the singer has hit out at the media for publishing apparently false information about her medical condition.

Miley was forced to cancel her tour dates in Kansas City and St Louis in the US this week after suffering an allergic reaction to antibiotics.

But after reports surfaced questioning her medical condition, The We Can't Stop songstress took to Twitter to slam the press.

"Shut the f**k up & let me heal. Stop scaring my family, friends, & fans", she tweeted.

"OFFICIAL STATEMENT", she continued, sharing a screenshot of an explanation her team shared with the press earlier this week.

"Miley was suffering from a sinus infection during her tour. She was prescribed the antibiotic Cephalexin which she's now suffered an extreme allergic reaction to", the statement reads.

"This type of extreme reaction can last from five to 27 days in these types of cases. She will remain hospitalized and is under a doctor's care until we see some improvement in her condition and is asking for your compassion and privacy at this time.

"Miley is devastated about missing shows and possibly disappointing her fans".

The singer has been vocal about her disappointment in cancelling her tour dates.

Earlier this week she tweeted that she was 'over' being in hospital, and couldn't quit crying because she wanted to go back on tour.
