Miley Cyrus is on course to claim her second UK No.1 in a row with Wrecking Ball, which is smashing the UK charts to pieces this week.

According to today’s Official Chart Update, Miley, who topped the UK charts for the first time with We Can’t Stop in August, has shifted nearly 62,000 copies of the single this week.

Current chart-toppers OneRepublic fall to No.5 with Counting Stars while James Blunt returns to the UK charts with Bonfire Heart currently placing at No.6 and John Newman’s follow up to Love Me Again, Cheating, enters at No.7.

The mighty Justin Bieber’s long-awaited Heartbreaker enters at No.8, Katy Perry’s Roar falls to No.9 and Jason Derulo rounds of the midweek Top 10 at No.10 with Talk Dirty.
