Miley Cyrus On Sinéad O'Connor: "I'm A Big Fan"
20-year old talks their recent war of words on The Today Show...
Following the premiere of Cyrus' Wrecking Ball promo, the pair have been embroiled in a war of words after O'Connor penned an open letter to Mi-Cy, where she stated that "the industry doesn't give a s**t about you" and "will prostitute you for all you are worth".
Sinéad also urged Miley to "fire any motherf**ker who hasn't expressed alarm".
After Miley referred to O'Connor's past mental health issues on Twitter, the Nothing Compares To You hitmaker later threatened Cyrus with legal action in a Facebook post.
O'Connor has since said that "as far as I'm concerned, it's over," and judging by Miley's interview with Matt Lauer on The Today Show, it also seems she's ready to bury the hatchet.
When asked for what she made of O'Connor's comments, the 20-year old revealed: "My thoughts, if you want to know my thoughts, I think she's an incredible artist.
"I think she's an awesome songwriter and I was really inspired by her for my Wrecking Ball video, which was what started the whole thing."
She continued: "I don't know how someone can start a fight with somebody that's saying, 'Hey I really respect you and I really love what you did.' 'You know what? You suck!' And that was kind of crazy.
"But, like I said, I'm a big fan of hers and so it doesn't really matter... It's all good. You can write as many open letters as you want. That's really what blogging is. I get open letters every day; it's nothing too new for me."
