Miley Cyrus Went Head To Head With Dolce & Gabbanna Over Politics In Social Media Spat
No one saw this one coming.
Miley Cyrus and the Boss of Dolce & Gabbana have wound up in an unlikely celebrity feud, after the singer threw shade at the fashion house while simultaneously praising them in an Instagram post over the weekend.
It's all a bit confusing, as the 23-year-old applauded the Italian fashion designers for inviting her younger bro to walk in their show but wrote that she "STRONGLY" disagrees with their politics - yep, she even used caps so you know she's for reals.
The singer wrote in the caption: "D&G, I STRONGLY disagree with your politics.... but I do support your company's effort to celebrate young artists & give them the platform to shine their light for all to see!"
While the former Hannah Montana actress had some stern words for the famous fashion house, she was clearly proud of her baby bro, writing: "congratulations on your experience! I am so proud of you always.... From Nashville to Italy!"
Despite the singer's warm words towards her brother's experience, Stefano Gabanna clearly took the diss to heart and hit back in a repost on his own Insta, writing: "We are Italian and we don't care about politics" He added: "We make dresses and if you think about doing politics with a post it's simply ignorant. We don't need your posts or comments so next time please ignore us".
Miley's comments may be in response to D&G's release of T-shirts that poke fun at those who criticised the brand for choosing to dress First Lady, Melania Trump.
The shirts costs $245 and reads #BoycottDolce&Gabbana in response to people who argued that the brand should be boycotted.
So much drama.
