Patrick Schwarzenegger has issued a series of tweets to deny that he's been playing away with another woman in Mexico.

The 21-year-old model and actor took to Twitter after pictures emerged of him in a clinch with a bikini-clad brunette in Cabo San Lucas during Spring Break.

But he was quick to explain that it wasn't what it looks like and insist that he's DEFINITELY not doing the dirty on his GF Miley Cyrus.

He wrote: "Omg. It's one of my best friends girlfriend...

"Would NEVER do anything against my GF.....

"Girls have guy friends and guys have friends that are girls..."

Miley may have responded to the gossip with a rambling and cryptic message on Instagram, or she may not... we can't actually tell to be honest.

She wrote: "da most biewteous thang in da whole wide world iz friendship. yiew choose dem outta all da billion trillion and beyond dey are da onez dat days seem toooo short with....

"Yiew wish dey could just go on foreva (that's why sometimes yiew skip da sleepin part) i am layin in da gra$$ lookin up at all da clouds and tryin to even get a lil solaaaa gaze action jusss bein still ... & bein thankful.
