Minecraft's New Candy Update Will Literally Turn Your World Into Cake
IF ONLY THIS HAPPENED IRL.
Things are getting about to get sweeter in Minecraft, thanks to a new Candy Texture Pack rolling out across all mobile versions of the cult classic crafting game.
Those of you building your worlds on consoles may have already sweetened things up with the cute texture pack, but for those of us playing on our mobiles, this is the first time we’ve been able to add a “dentist-weepingly high amount of sugar” into the game.
"Players of portable versions of Minecraft can download a texture pack that pours a dentist-weepingly high amount of sugar into your game, replacing all the textures with sweet new treats,” says the official Minecraft website.
“Jelly Creepers! Starlight Mint Skeletons! Velvet Cake Cows! Entire floors made of cake! It's almost lunchtime! Sorry. Writing about such delicious nonsense is making this candy-starved writer all kinds of hungry. Don't lick the screenshot. Learn from my mistakes.”
The pack rolls out courtesy of update 1.03 and while the update is free, the pack is not - it’ll set you back $3. The update also heralds support for people wanting to play in the Dutch language, as well as address a load of small bugs and issues.
