Dinosaur Minecraft Is A Thing You Didn't Know You Needed Until Now

A dinosaur-Minecraft crossover game you *never* knew you wanted is coming soon!

PixArk - a mashup of Ark: Survival Evolved and Minecraft - is slated to hit Steam Early Access and Xbox Games Preview in March 2018.

"Enter a world of mystery, danger, ancient dinosaurs, mythical beasts, and cubes!" says the description on Steam. "Work by yourself or with a tribe of others to gather materials, craft useful items, tame wild creatures, and build huge bases to survive in PixArk!"

The game describes itself as having a robust character creator, an infinite number of voxel based maps, and procedurally generated quests. You'll be able to build fortresses, explore caverns, fly on the back of dragons, or ride on the back of a mighty T-Rex.

“PixArk isn’t your average sandbox / survival game - we’re going to be introducing a lot of experimental technology and features that will require extensive testing and iterating before we’re ready to ship them in a final product," explains developer Snail Games when asked why the game was releasing in Early Access. "We saw fantastic results with Ark’s time in Early Access, and we’re ready to once again work with the community to help make PixArk the best game it can be."

You'll be able to play PixArk either alone, or with your besties. While the Early Access release is restricted to Xbox and PC, the final game will also be coming to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch later this year.
