Blonde Charity Mafia's Sophie Talks To MTV

We got her on the phone from DC...

Blonde Charity Mafia kicked off on MTVlast week and follows socialites Katherine Kennedy, Sophie Pyle and Krista Johnson as they organise charity events, date and cause drama in Washington DC.
To celebrate MTVUKrang the US capital and spoke to Sophie to get all the gossip...
Hi Sophie, why is Washington D.C a good place for Blonde Charity Mafia to be set?
I think it makes for an interesting show. Washington is a great backdrop with the architecture, the history and our strong social scene. Some of the patrties I went to are the ones my grandparents went to.
And it’s so small that everyone knows everyone else and that brings drama!
It’s a really good place to go out in and a lot of people are moving her because of Obama getting elected. It’s a good place for young people and it’s a lot of fun.
How did you get involved in charity fundraising?
Going to charity events is something my family have always done and usually we’ll do one or two big events a year. You can have a good party and its for a good cause, plus we get to check out beautiful venues. In the show you see some amazing places.
In the show we see you working as a lobbyist- are you still doing that as a job?
I’m not lobbying anymore, I’m involved in online marketing and getting companies to use Facebook and Twitter. I wanted to move on.
We see you on a few dates in BCM- are you in a relationship now?
I’m dating but I’m certainly not in a relationship at the moment! I don’t want to offend the boys that I am dating and I don’t want to put off anyone else.
Of course Sophie! Do you still see the other main Blonde Charity Mafia stars?
I see Krista a lot but not Katherine. I think there is still some tension there! We don’t run into each other often. But I see Krista all the time and we’ve moved on from the show.
Just one more question- Was it fun to film the series?
I had a lot of fun and it was exciting but it was a weird time. There were some great parties. It’s amazing how easily you get used to having cameras following you.
