Pussycat Dolls - 'We Were Burlesque!'
Pussycat Dolls talk about their raunchy beginnings in LA clubs
The Pussycat Dolls set pulses racing on TRL when they confessed they started out as a Burlesque act.
Talking to Dave and Jo on last night's show the girls said: "It was very underground in Los Angeles, and we had a lot of celebrity guests. Gwen Stefani was our missing link. She brought in her label, and we were signed two years ago."
But the sexy six-piece were quick to point out there was nothing dodgy about the club. "We just found out in the dictionary that Burlesque means strip tease," original member Carmit Bachar admitted. "So we were never a nude strip tease or anything. We wore corsets and stylised bras that were from the era."
Tune-in to TRL every weekday at 6pm on MTV.
