Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid Help Launch Homeless Guy's Modelling Career
Side note: he's BEAUTIFUL.
Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid might both have hit supermodel status in 2015, but they still remember just how hard it is starting out in the industry and it's emerged that they actually helped discover homeless skater turned male model John Economou this year.
20-year-old John moved to LA from Milwaukee last year in the hopes of making it as a model and was spending his days skating and his nights sleeping on Venice Beach when he had a chance meeting with Gigi, Kendall and Ansel Elgort after a shoot they did together up on the boardwalk.
After noticing just how beautiful he is and having a bit of a chat, the girls put John in touch with their management and it's ended up with him landing representation from Kendall's agency, Two Management.
Talking about how he noticed the group after returning to the beach from a dip in the sea, John tells The Daily Mail: "They looked all presentable and good looking. I saw bodyguards at the corner. I thought they were police at first and I thought 'What are they doing?'. Then I saw seagulls swarming around the girls because they brought the food out, and I started walking over there to shoo them away.
"One of the girls said to me, 'You're cute,' so I turned around and we struck up conversation. I didn't realise who I was speaking to at first and it finally clicked who it was: Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Ansel Elgort, and Kendall's manager, Ashleah Gonzales.
"We were just talking and they said I should take up modeling here in LA. I told them my story, I told them how I was a model back home and how I came here to follow my dream and try and get an agency, how I'm living the hippie life, living out on the beach crashing on the sand right now," John continues.
"They said they could help me out and get me an agency and they got me with Two Management, the agency I signed with. Kendall was cool, she was super down to earth and chill. We were just having a normal conversation talking about life, acting, modeling, personal lives. It's a crazy story. I'm super grateful. I was just in the right place at the right time."
He's aiming high too and adds: "I want to be the top – I want to be top of the top with Kendall, with Justin Bieber with those kind of people. I'm confident in myself if I can get there."
John's still sleeping on the beach, but he's not too worried about it and says that he likes the freedom of the lifestyle. Still, that beautiful face comes in handy and he's more than happy to make friends for a couple of nights sleep under a roof and four walls.
"I came out here knowing I would be sleeping under the stars but I also knew I could talk to a girl and make friends with her and hang out with her and then end up staying at their house and doing whatever," he explains. "I do like sleeping on the beach but I obviously like going home with chicks too."
If you were wondering - which let's be honest, you definitely were - he's single and very much open to mingling.
"I have no girlfriend - I’m too young and there’s too many hot girls around here," John says. "LA is so diverse there’s so many girls from all over and it’s really opening my mind to different cultures and what not and I really like that."
Is it just us or does John look like a cross between Shawn Mendes, Cameron Dallas and Brooklyn Beckham?
