Morrissey has told MTV Two that he's confused by talk of a reunion of The Smiths and suggested it won't be happening anytime soon.

Talking to Zane Lowe the singer said: "It confuses me I dont know why people go on about it wanting something that isnt there."

When asked about gigs the notoriously difficult star told the Gonzo-man: "The Smiths didnt tour that much really, not worldwide.

But it was of its time. The songs are very very strong so that make me everlasting!

Previous reports have suggested that Mozza and his former bandmates- blablabla- were offered millions to reform.

The brash frontman explained: "They are very impressive (but) Its simply another time and it isnt now its just not my life now"
