Mr Hudson Talks Kanye West & Jay Z

The UK artist-producer talked exclusively to MTV News about working with the A-list rappers…

Mr Hudsonhas spoken to Kanye Westafter releasing his first album and features on the rapper's 808s and Heartaches album.

West is now repaying the favour by working on Hudson’s second disc. He told us how the collaboration happened:
“It was a gradual thing that came into focus. Kanye had heard the first album- he was feeling it… We were introduced in London and we had mutual appreciation. So then we made it more formal and I signed to his label and he executive produced the album.”
And as if working with West wasn’t cool enough Mr H’ also looks likely to appear on Jay- Z’s Blueprint 3. He told our man Rickie:
“Wow- They flew me out to Hawaii. The track that I was meant to be singing on was called History and I kind of flopped on it.
“And then I did another joint and we just kicked it out the park and that’s the one Jay Z loves. I hope Jay Z doesn’t change his mind before the record comes out. It’s called Forever Young- It’s an 80s number.”
Of his own forthcoming record the Londoner said: “I just wanted to kick them in the nuts with this record. I just wanted to make a big bold, punchy pop record. I’ve been influenced by who I’ve been working with.”
Hudson has also been working with Estelle, Kid Cudi and new artist I Blame Coco.
