Black History Month on MTV Base

Some of the UKs hottest upcoming MCs have come together to celebrate Black History Month on MTV Base this month.

Names such as Baby Blue, Pyrelli and No-Lay will narrate a series of shows celebrating black icons " from names in music and sport to politics and art.

MTV Base Africa has also filmed a fascinating documentary commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Soweto uprising in South Africa which will be screened this October.

MTV Bases spokesman Dillon Khan says this years campaign this will highlight that black history resonates with all of us.
