MTV Breaks has been on a global talent hunt for a brilliant young graphic designer to join us at the MTV EMA in London this year. We asked entrants to come up with an original design for our MTV EMA winner envelope, and after searching through hundreds and hundreds of entries and interviewing our finalists, we’ve FINALLY found our winner…
It’s 18 year old Maximiliano Gonzalez from Mexico!
Max really impressed us with his knowledge and passion about graphic design, as well as with his beaut entry:
We caught up with him to ask him how it felt knowing he'd be coming with us to the MTV EMA this year.
How did you feel when you found out you won?
Ididn'teven know how to react because I am only 18 and I've never been out of my city, so it was very hard to process inthe moment but I was very happy. I almost criedbecause I'vebeen working so hard to be ready for a moment like this and I am really happy and very gratefulto the people who tookthe time to look atmy design.
What are you looking forward to the most?
I'm looking forward to showing what I cando.I don'twant to disappointanyone, so I want to reach my full potential. I want to meet my mentorso they can teach me how to improve andmake great designs.
What do you hope to get out of the experience?
I want toimprove andlearn lots of things for my future work.This is a huge opportunity and actually the biggestopportunityin my life up to now. I've hoped to get new opportunities in my life because design is everything to me, and this will help me so much.I'm so thankful that the MTV Breaks team believed in me.
