THIS GUY... Nyle's our career inspo this Friday, and we also just can't stop staring...

HALLO and welcome back to MTV Breaks’ weekly feature “F**k It!” Friday - where we bow down to all the celebs who've come into their own by just saying “f**k it!”, pursuing their career goals without caring what anybody else thinks.

Cos it’s one thing to have big ideas, but it’s another to be brave enough to put yourself totally out there and kick it all into ACTION.

So who’s this weeks’ FIF mastermind? Drumroll… it’s Nyle DiMarco!

If you haven’t yet heard of 28-year-old American model, actor and activist Nyle DiMarco, then you are in for a TREAT (seriously). Starting out as an actor, Nyle was approached and asked if he would apply to be in cycle 22 of America’s Next Top Model. He went on to win it in 2015and, only a year later, he clinched first place on Dancing With The Stars - proving that Nyle really is just a god in human form.

And you haven’t even heard the most impressive part… Nyle is deaf. Which means… he won a dancing competition… without being able to hear the music. Whaaat?

So what makes Nyle our FIF royalty today? Well, after Nyle studied maths at University he was approached by a film producer who asked him to consider acting. But Nyle was petrified of the idea of acting and the stage because he feared being an outsider in the industry due to his deafness… until, that is, he said “f**k it!” (probably) and decided not to let being deaf EVER define him or limit his ambitions. And look what happened - next thing you know, he’s winning America’s Next Top Model.

“If you still struggle with yourself, question who you are, you won’t achieve,” Nyle told GQ in an interview. “Knowing, accepting, and embracing your identity gives you the confidence and gives you the glow. People will see it. People will want to work with you.” Inspiring or what? Nyle’s story is career inspo for anybody who’s ever feared being inadequate in their industry-of-choice.

Oh, and he constantly stands up for and speaks out for the 70 million people who belong to the deaf community, from speaking up for deafness in Hilary Clinton’s Presidential campaign, to teaching people sign language in Instagram videos. In fact, he also founded the Nyle DiMarco Foundation to help deaf people achieve their dreams… ARE YOU IN LOVE YET BECAUSE WE ARE, OK COOL.

Basically Nyle’s our “F**k It!” Friday inspo this week for not only conquering his fears and embracing his deafness to pursue his dream career, but for being an amazing activist for the deaf community day in, day out.

Happy Friday everyone… AND happy Deaf Awareness Week!
