F**k It Friday: Chris Martin

People ARE great, Chris.

HI THERE. Welcome back to F**k It Friday - a weekly feature fromMTV Breaksthat’s all about saying a big “f**k yeah” to the most excellent people who’ve said “f**k it” (probably) and taken a leap of faith to make big things happen.

Cos it’s not about just having ideas – it’s about believing in yourself, and making them happen. AMIRIGHT?

So who’s next up in the FIF roll call of honour, drumroll… it’s CHRIS MARTIN! When Coldplay headlined at the spectacular Glasto finale last Sunday, Chris (complete with an adorbs ‘love’ flag) set out to prove that, in his words, “people are great and together we can do wonderful, wonderful things”.

How did he prove his point? You guessed it – he said "f**kit" (probably) and shared the stage with loads of other greats, just cos. We’re talking a live performance from 80-year-old Bee Gees star (who sang that classic mega-hit ‘Staying Alive’… you know the one), an emosh video of Muhammad Ali saying, “I’m going to dedicate my life to using my name and popularity to helping charities, helping people, uniting people”, and a solo performance by the founder of Glastonbury himself, the legendary Michael Eavis! #Unity.

Our f**kit highlight of the night though was when Chris handed the stage over for one song to ‘Viola Beach’, a band who were set to be a huge until they were tragically killed in a road accident earlier this year. He announced, “we’re gonna create Viola Beach’s alternate future for them and let them headline Glastonbury for one song”.

Chris - you might have called playing to the Glastonbury crowd “the greatest gift on earth” but you’re wrong, you’re the greatest gift on Earth (…too much?). After Sunday’s performance he’s now in the running to be our next Prime Minister (sadly only on Twitter), but more importantly he’s our F**kIt Friday man of choice this week.
