This summer Isle of MTV Malta is bringing some of the hottest talent in the world to Malta’s sunny shores, and as it’s their 10th anniversary, it’s shaping up to be their biggest party yet. But they need some help…
MTV Breaks are hooking up with Isle of MTV Malta to give YOU the chance to work at the very top of the industry.
This year we’re looking for:
● A superstar DJ to play the Malta stage
● A director for our MTV Breaks camera crew
As well as the awesome experience, you’ll get an industry mentor, flights, hotel, and the chance to see yourself, in action on MTV.
So if you’re ready to break into your future career as a director, or DJ,, see below for how to enter.
You’ll need to get your entries in by May 9th, be aged 18-26 and available between June 25th and 29th and have no professional experience in the field…yet.
MTV Breaks DJ
Have you got the skills, the talent and the passion to spin to for thousands, but just need the break? Well you’re in luck!
You’ll get to show your talent to Isle of Malta’s huge crowd, be hooked up with our expert Club MTV DJ mentors for insider tips and tricks, and see yourself broadcast worldwide on MTV.
To Enter to be our MTV Breaks DJ:
Stage One: We want to hear why we should pick you as the MTV Breaks DJ. So, head to Twitter or Instagram, and tell us why you’ve got the skills to play the Isle of MTV Malta stage. Make sure you hashtag your entry with #MTVBreaksDJ.
If you’re picked to make it through to stage two, we’ll be in touch to let you know.
Stage Two: It’s time to give us a taste of what you’d bring to the Isle of MTV Malta stage. You’ll need to email us a 10 minute mini mix that shows off your best tunes, and we’ll be giving you a call to find out more about your choices.
MTV Breaks Director
In a first-of-its-kind MTV Breaks opportunity, we want to give the hottest young director in the world their chance to prove themselves. You’ll be directing an exclusive behind-the-scenes short film about what it takes to make of the Isle of Malta happen. N.B. you will be working with an English-speaking crew.
This could be your chance to show the world what you’re made of! You’ll be getting access to everything that goes into creating a huge show like Isle of MTV Malta, you’ll have creative control and your production will go around on MTV around the world!
To Enter to be our MTV Breaks Director:
Stage One: Sum yourself up in a 15 second Instagram video titled ‘What Makes Me’. Upload it to your account and tag it with #MTVBreaksDirector
We’ll then be in touch with anyone shortlisted for round two, and give you full details of what’s next.
Stage Two: We’ll want to get to know more about your directing talent and dreams via a Skype or phone chat. You’ll also need to pitch us your idea for what you’d want to see in your 'Making of Isle of MTV Malta’ video package.
