So who’s our Make It Monday motivation today? Drumroll… it’s CONNOR FRANTA! Connor is no ordinary YouTube star, he’s the very best in the business. We say business because that is what Connor has made posting quirky life videos on YouTube into – a fully-fledged high flying career, and he was one of the very first YouTubers to do so!

With a whopping 5.3 million Instagram followers and more than 5.8 million on Twitter, Connor has really made a name for himself within the social media realm, as well as having more than 5.6 million subscribers to his YouTube videos. Connor also wrote a best-selling memoir, ‘A Work in Progress’, which was Forbes’ Top 5 Breakthrough Book of 2015 and also won the Goodreads Choice Award for Best Memoir’.

Oh, and he has also launched a record label, worked as a film music supervisor and done important philanthropic work.

He is most well-known for his December 2014 coming out videowhere he finally admitted to his followers that he was gay, revealinghow much he had struggled with the secret and how hard it was being in denial for so many years. In the emosh video he told everyone exactly what he had been feeling and encouraged everyone struggling with their sexuality to accept how they feel and to not be afraid.

So Connor is pretty much inspiring all round. That’s why he’s pinched our Make It Monday title this week – he created his own Empire, inspired the lives of millions and, we think you will all agree, has TOTALLY made it. All from a bunch of home videos. So quit yo moaning people – it might be a dreary Monday morning, but that wouldn’t stop Connor, would it? #WWCD (what would Connor do).
