We recently launched a once-in-lifetime MTV Breaks competition, inspired by Joseph Gordon-Levitt film The Walk.

Aspiring movie-makers were given the chance to win a week in LA, attending a training programme at Virtual Reality Shop, Create VR.

We were absolutely blown away by the entries – so many of you sent us your amazing ideas, and we had the almost impossible task of choosing a winner, alongside our panel of experts.

But the time has finally come to announce our winner. Drum roll, please!

The winner is… Nils Soderman from Sweden!

Nils is 19 years old, and currently studying computer game graphics. His movie pitch caught the attention of the judges immediately: “a guy waking up to find his bed levitating 300ft above ground.”Nils will now be heading to LA, where he will:

• Be given an in-depth overview of working with Virtual Reality and the full VR landscape
• Get hands-on experience with VR cameras and given an introduction to the stitching process
• Be trained in production philosophy, material capture and stitching, including working on test shoots

Huge congrats to Nils – we can’t wait to see what you get up to in LA!
