Chase & Status, Kaiser Chiefs & More SMASHED MTV Crashes Coventry!

Plus Tom Odell, Fleur East, Sigala tore the roof off the Ricoh Arena…

OMG what a night! MTV Crashes Coventry officially WENT. OFF.

Thousands of you descended on the Ricoh Arena to see some of of the biggest names in music hit the stage, and first up was feel-good hit maker supreme Sigala.

Opening the show with Bryn Christopher for the infectious ‘Sweet Lovin’’, the stage was engulfed with smoke, reminiscent of his awesome music video. Bringing out banger after banger and further special guests including Imani (who only earlier we might add took her English GCSE that morning!) for ‘Say You Do’ and John Newman on ‘Give Me Your Love’, Sigala’s set really set the bar.

Next up, Fleur East, fresh from her appearances in the U.S. last week fired us up with her sassy dance moves and of course a stellar rendition of ‘Sax’ before Tom Odell entranced us with tunes from his forthcoming LP 'Wrong Crowd'.

Kaiser Chiefs once again cemented themselves as one of Britain’s best live bands, bringing their TUNES ‘Oh My God’, ‘Coming Home’, ‘I Predict A Riot’ and more before tonight’s headliners took to the stage.

Back with a revamped live show, Chase & Status gave us the honour of their first live performance in 18 months and after tonight we’re so glad to have the duo back.

New tracks ‘Control’ and ‘NRG’ had the masses moving while fan faves ’No Problem’, ‘Let You Go’, Eastern Jam’ and ‘Blind Faith’ set the mosh pits off!

We can’t begin to thank everyone involved in the making of the show; the Ricoh Arena, the Coventry council crew, R3WIRE & Varski for keeping us dancing between sets, and of course our acts and everyone who came to party with us.

…that was just Day 1! Club MTV is here to do it all over again on Saturday with The Chainsmokers, Basement Jaxx, Kano, Pete Tong, Wilkinson, R3WIRE & Varski, Zac Samuel ad Superhero DJs.

Bring it!
