Jason Mraz To Perform In Myanmar For MTV EXIT

And you could get to go!

How do you fancy a trip to Myanmar to rock out to Jason Mraz and the country’s top artists? All whilst being part of a cause to end human trafficking? If this flicks your switch, read on…
The chances are, if you google ‘Myanmar’ – most of what you’ll find will be about a bloody civil war or, more positively, the incredible journey and rise to power of Aung San Suu Kyi. Myanmar has a violent past, with many of its people denied human rights. MTV EXIT is dedicated to bringing attention to one of these issues - human trafficking.
One way it’s doing this is by bringing one of 2012’s hottest concerts to the country. On December 16th Multi GRAMMY award-winning singer songwriter Jason Mraz will be the first international artist ever to perform at an open-air concert in Myanmar, and will be joined by Myanmar’s top artists including Phyu Phyu Kyaw Thein and R Zarni. On stage with him will be a number of inspirational people who’ve dedicated their lives to the cause of ending human trafficking in Myanmar.
The free live concert will be held at the Yangon People’s Square, which lies at the base of the 2600 year-old Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the most iconic sites in the country.
And that's not all… MTV EXIT are giving two lucky winners a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fly out to Myanmar and attend the concert - to find out how to enter head over to www.mtvexit.org.
If you’re not lucky enough to go and watch in person, you can catch the concert on TV in early 2013, as a special edition of MTV World Stage.
