The categories and nominees for the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards have been announced and it’s time to get hyped!

Black Panther and Stranger Things lead the nominations, which will be hosted by Girls Trip star Tiffany Haddish.

Black Panther, one of the biggest movies of all time worldwide, leads with seven nominations, including Best Movie, Best Hero, Best Villain and Best On-Screen Team. Excitingly, this will be the first time the movie has been recognised at an awards show.

At the same time,Stranger Things has scored six nominations, including Best Show and will go up against Black Panther for the Best On-Screen Team gong.

The show will once again feature non-gendered categories, a change that last year marked an industry-changing historic shift, with Emma Watson picking up the coveted Best Actor In A Movie award for 2017.

The MTV Movie & TV Awards will take place on Monday, June 18 at from the Barker Hangar in Los Angeles, with additional categories still to be announced at a later date.
