Mark Wahlberg Collects MTV Generation Award, Drops F-Bomb!
The actor was presented the honour by Entourage stars Adrian Grenier, Jerry Ferrara and Kevin Dillon...
Mark Wahlberg was in a very sweary mood when picking up the MTV Generation gong at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (April 13).
Accepting the accolade from his Entourage co-stars Vince, Turtle and Drama (a.k.a. Adrian Grenier, Jerry Ferrara and Kevin Dillon), the star dubbed the accolade the 'Too F**king Old to Return Award' during his speech.
"It was a great run and I'm a lucky guy in so many ways," Wahlberg stated before rhapsodising about his older career choices (never forget those Calvin Klein underwear ads, you guys).
Naturally, this elicited strong reactions from the audience, which caused him to reply: "Hey, shut the f**k up! I'm about to cry in a minute. S**t-, I ain't f**king around. I've got to do Ted 2."
Noticeably absent from the accolades were fellow Entouragers Kevin Connolly (Eric Murphy) and Jeremy Piven (Ari Gold).[uuid:371c883c-fd2c-414c-a948-8d68a106688a/2014 MTV Movie Awards: Main Show (209481) - vimn_gallery]And while Connolly had an excuse (he's broken his leg in two places), we've yet to hear from Piven as to why he was unavailable, though it seems reasonable to assume he was wandering the streets of London performing improvised Mr. Selfridge monologues for anyone within earshot.
Previous winners of the MTV Generation award include Tom Cruise, Jim Carrey, Mike Myers, Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, Sandra Bullock, Reese Witherspoon, Johnny Depp and Jamie Foxx.
You can check out the 2014 MTV Movie Awards on Monday (April 14) at 9pm only on MTV!
