Actor Dan Stevens - who shot to fame playing Matthew Crawley in hit TV show Downton Abbey - has admitted he's overjoyed to be joining the cast of hit comedy franchise, Night At The Museum.

The Guest star pits his wits against a Who's Who of comedic talent in Night At The Museum: Secret Of The Tomb, with the 31-year-old set to star opposite the likes of Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson and the late Robin Williams in the movie - which is set for release later this year.

Speaking during promotional duties for his latest movie The Guest, Stevens mentioned how much fun it was to work alongside Williams, albeit without mentioning him directly.

[related]"It was great, it was a lot of fun. First time doing a big studio film, but also first time doing a big comedy like that for a while," he said of the experience.

"I certainly started out doing comedy, did some very bad student stand up back in the day," he continued. "I have always loved it and I've been a huge Ben Stiller fan, Robin Williams fan, Owen Wilson, Steve Coogan, Ricky Gervais - it's an amazing cast and a really wonderful world to step into that."
