Aca-mazing! Pitch Perfect 2 Star Rebel Wilson Is Launching A Clothing Line
And if you don’t buy it, she’s gonna pitch slap you HARD. Not really, but we might…
Rebel Wilson’s perfectly pitched promo trail wardrobe has had us Instagram stalking her to the max, so you can imagine our excitement when, on Tuesday night, the Pitch Perfect 2 star revealed the logo of her upcoming fashion line with US retailer Torrid.
The blonde bombshell also wrote that Rebel For Torrid – America’s fastest growing plus-size fashion brand – will drop in November this year. The collaboration will kick off with a limited edition Holiday collection, to be sold in Torrid stores, and available worldwide at Torrid.com.
"I've had a 'torrid' affair with buying clothes all my life. I've never really felt like there's a brand out there in the plus size world that is creating cool stuff, that fits well and is good quality yet affordable,” says Rebel. “It's really only been in the last few years that I've seen companies try.
“So it was awesome to team with Torrid, who I think are doing such a great job in making plus size fashion relevant and dope. I've been loving designing the clothes for my capsule collection. I've been putting my unique style and personal loves into the clothing and literally can't wait for the collection to launch!"
Rebel – who reprises her role as Fat Amy in Pitch Perfect 2 – has been sure to include elements of her own background in the line, for example a koala print T-shirt, to reflect her Australian heritage.
The initial Rebel For Torrid collection contains 25 pieces, in UK sizes 16-32, with prices ranging from $28.50 to $125.
And the best news? Rebel is already working on the Spring 2016 drop. We’re sensing the start of a beautiful secondary career.
