YouTube Superstar Trisha Paytas Talks 'Fat Chicks', Mean Girls & Celebrity Big Brother

Need some blonde ambition in your life? Look no further than Trisha Paytas...

Self-confessed superficial bitch Trisha Paytas has been making a name for herself online since 2007, posting the kind of videos on her channel that would make our Brit vloggers Zoella and Tanya Burr blush.

For sure there's your familiar shopping hauls, Louis Vuitton bag openings and every day beauty talk that has become synonymous with beauty vlogger channels, but our fave busty blonde from overseas isn't shy about sharing EVERY detail of her plastic fantastic life with her subscribers. They’ve watched her share bondage site recommendations, cheating confessions and stories about her Hollyweird life in LA.

With two million YouTube subscribers and over 800,000 Instagram followers, Trish is basically the Anna Nicole Smith of our generation, who in the past has called Gigi Gorgeous a best friend and once appeared on Tyra Banks’ chat show because she was addicted to hair extensions. In short, she's our new favourite person ever!

MTV Style: Hey Trish! What colour of nails are you rocking today and what’s your star sign?

Trisha Paytas: I'm still in my basic purple. I haven't had a manicure in a month! It’s so not like me, and I have a broken nail, life is TERRIBLE! And I'm wearing no pants, ’cause it's too hot in LA, and a shirt with my face on it. Star sign? Is that like Taurus or something? I'm so astrologically challenged.

MTV Style: Talk us through an average day in the life of you?

Trisha: I get up, upload a video to YouTube, eat, sleep, and check all my social medias, eat again, sleep some more, watch Dancing With The Stars and go to sleep for the night. Just your average teenage girl, give or take a decade.

MTV Style: So for anyone who doesn’t know that you’re legit internet famous, how did you get into vlogging?

Trisha: Am I internet famous? That's so cool. I still think no one knows who I am. Sometimes I forget people follow me when I'm on Twitter at 2am talking about my sex life.

I got into vlogging because everyone else was doing it. I think my life is quite boring, but apparently people like watching me eat takeout, and crying about my love life.

MTV Style: If we were visiting your channel for the first time, what would be the perfect Trish vid to view?

Trisha: 'FAT CHICKS'!!! I think that video [for Trish’s body empowerment anthem] gives you a well-rounded (no pun intended) look at who Trish is.

MTV Style: We also love that your mom isn’t a regular mom (she’s a cool mom!) and has her own YouTube channel as well. Can we assume that you are as unfiltered as you are in your vids because of your mom? Or is it the other way around?

Trisha: First of all, love the Mean Girls reference. I’m getting cheese fries tomorrow! And yeah, my mom is more like my sister, for better or for worse. She influences me and I influence her. People are always confused by our relationship, I mean I have a video called ‘Sex With My Mom’; what other mother/daughter duo plays a game guessing the number of STDs and sex partners we've had in our lives?

MTV Style: We first discovered you in the hilarious vid you filmed with Gigi Gorgeous, where the two of you tell us ‘How To Take A Slutty Selfie’. Are there any plans for you two dolls to reunite on screen?

Trisha: I would love to. I love Gigi so much, but girlfriend be blowing up. She's become mainstream now and I couldn’t be happier. No one deserves it as much as Gigi. She's a fun-loving party girl on the exterior, but inside, she's such a kind and genuine soul. She was my first YouTube friend and I was her first LA friend, so we have this bond forever. That and I took her to her boob job surgery, we share the same surgeon and she took me the first time to get my lip injections, so we are practically soulmates.

MTV Style: One vlogger you have been spending quite a lot of time with recently is Shane Dawson, and we are living for your candy hauls! You also mentioned during your recent British Candy haul that you’d love to be on British Celeb Big Brother - would you really?

Trisha: Yay! Trane gets a mention. Shane is seriously the best person I've ever met. So thankful for YouTube for bringing such a wonderful friend into my life.

I ABSOLUTELY would love to be on CBB! Both Shane and I are obsessed with CBBUK! We always catch up on that the first thing when we do our weekly hangs. We were crushed to see Farrah go. But I love that show and I love the Brits, so turned on by Bobby Davro, yum yum.

MTV Style: What do you think you would bring to the house and who in the most recent series left a particularly bad taste in your mouth?

Trisha: I would bring the curve appeal. I feel like Jenna had the badonkadonk this season, but we need the donk, the belly, the round arms, round face, everything. I use to date a few dudes from the UK (shout out to Sussex and Poole) and they needed to see my body like every day; I think the British public needs that too. Plus I'm feisty, but also sweet; I can stir up drama and calm it down all at the same time!

This season I wasn’t a big fan of Natasha, she seemed a little shady. I don’t know what it is, but her insecurities showed so much when she got louder than my American chicks in that house. Farrah and Jenna are all for show, but Natasha seemed to have this vindictive side she tries to suppress.

MTV Style: In the UK we used to have a talk show called Trisha, which was like our version of Jerry Springer, but it was presented by a babe called Trisha. Would you be up for presenting a reboot?

Trisha: Ohmyga, please pitch that. Me and my big blonde hair and even bigger boobs will come bouncing with the sunshine to dreary old London town.

MTV Style: What would the topic for your first show be?

Trisha: Guys who date girls for their bellies.

MTV Style: How big of a problem is cyber bullying for you and how do you deal with internet trolls?

Trisha: Cyber bullying is a huge issue going on right now for everyone and I hate it. The sad thing is, I don't think it'll ever stop. Bullying has always been around and there will always be people who thrive on the hurt they cause to others.

The good news is there is so much awareness surrounding the issue and the serious consequences of it, even legal action of bullying someone online. You have no idea what that person you see online is going through; the slightest harsh word could send someone over the edge.

The best way I deal with internet trolls is to ignore them and it works. My troll count has dwindled tremendously over the past few years. I still get a lot of hate about my appearance and my weight, but if it makes someone feel better, I'm strong and I can take it. I'd rather them take it out on this tough broad than a developing and easily influenced teen.

MTV Style: You remind us of eternal blonde bombshell Anna Nicole Smith. Do you think if she was still alive you’d have vlogged together?

Trisha: Oh wow. What a mega compliment. It took the breath out of me. I would have loved to vlog with her. We could've shopped for pink fuzzy pillows and eat two dinners out on Sunset Blvd together. She was unapologetically herself and, in my eyes, that qualifies her as a true role model. People were relentless on her her whole life and you know what? She kept being herself and being herself proudly. I think that speaks volumes and is a lesson we could all learn from Miss Anna Nicole.

MTV Style: Tell us a little about your music and why your new song is titled ‘Leonardo DiCaprio’?

Trisha: Music is my everything at the moment. It's such a release for me. I started putting out my songs when my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year. It really taught me life is short and you need to do what you love while you're on this earth living.

‘Leonardo DiCaprio’ came about more or less as a joke. I love him and think he's dreamy of course, but he only dates supermodels, so I always joked that one day he'd meet me and I'd change his type and he'd propose to me on the first date. I use to sing his name whenever my sister and I watched Gatsby or Wolf Of Wall Street for the umpteenth time. She's like, "you are obsessed, good thing he doesn't know," and I was like, “oh he's going to know,” and then wrote the song in just a few minutes.

MTV Style: We’re going to give you three Leonardo DiCaprios and you have to choose which one you are going to snog, which one you are going to marry, and which one you are going to avoid…

A. Leonardo DiCaprio in Titanic

B. Leonardo DiCaprio in The Great Gatsby

C. Leonardo DiCaprio in Romeo + Juliet

Trisha: Ooooooh this is so hard. I would 100% snog Gatsby, that's actual life goals. I would marry Jack, because hello, he literally gave his life for Rose. And I'd avoid Romeo, because, well, he’s too dumb.

MTV Style: Where do you see yourself five years from now and what colour do you think your nails will be?

Trisha: Lmao, I hope I have nails by then, the acrylics are wearing them thin. I hope I'm still entertaining, hopefully married to Burt Reynolds, and we become King and Queen of some undiscovered island. I dream big.

MTV Style: And lastly, seeing as you literally wrote the book on How To Get Internet Famous, what tips can you give us to help speed up the process?

Trisha: Honestly, just be yourself! The internet loves uniqueness and originality. And everyone is unique and original if they just allow themselves to show it! The audience will come to you. One thing I've learned is that there is an audience for everything and that's a beautiful thing. The internet is taking over Hollywood. No longer do we have to fit into the norms to make it as an entertainer. People desperately needed change in entertainment and the audience has spoken and literally changed society as we know it.
