Johnny Coca Is Mulberry’s New Creative Director, Nothing To Do With Cola
The former Céline accessory design director just got a swish new job…
Johnny Coca has been announced as Mulberry’s new creative director, more than a year after the departure of previous CD Emma Hill, with his tenure set to begin on July 8th 2015.
"I very much look forward to joining Mulberry as its new creative director and to leading a new design direction at one of the very best British brands," said Johnny, who was formerly Céline’s accessory design director.
Mulberry has had a difficult 2014 without a creative director, also losing chief executive Bruno Guillon, not to mention a 50% slump in profits.
Here’s hoping that with help from Johnny – and collaborator Cara Delevingne – the iconic British brand can get back on its feet.
