Johnny Coca Is Mulberry’s New Creative Director, Nothing To Do With Cola

The former Céline accessory design director just got a swish new job…

Johnny Coca has been announced as Mulberry’s new creative director, more than a year after the departure of previous CD Emma Hill, with his tenure set to begin on July 8th 2015.

[related] "I very much look forward to joining Mulberry as its new creative director and to leading a new design direction at one of the very best British brands," said Johnny, who was formerly Céline’s accessory design director.

Mulberry has had a difficult 2014 without a creative director, also losing chief executive Bruno Guillon, not to mention a 50% slump in profits.

Here’s hoping that with help from Johnny – and collaborator Cara Delevingne – the iconic British brand can get back on its feet.
