Muse-ing On The Mercurys
Brit band of the moment tell us theyd love to win it
Muse are up for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize tomorrow (September 5) and tell MTV.co.uk theyd love to bag it.
The thing thats great about the Mercurys is that its based on how good you are rather than how many records youve sold, says bassist Chris Wolstenholme.
For the past few years its been smaller acts whove taken the prize so maybe its time a well-known name did it again.
Although saying that, you do win a cash prize so even though wed love to get maybe its fairer if it does go to a smaller act " we dont need the cash that badly right now!
Its a busy old time for the Devon band " they also release Starlight the second single from their No 1 album, Black Holes And Revelations, this week.
A potential gong and No 1 single all in the same week. How would they cope?
I reckon we could handle being huge just fine! laughs Chris.
