Fear Not Foo Fighters Fans! Glastonbury 2016 May Be Your Year…
The band are reportedly already booked for next year!
Foo Fighters have reportedly already been booked to headline Glastonbury 2016!
The band were forced to pull out of this year’s Friday night headline slot when Dave Grohl broke his leg at a gig in Sweden. Sob.
Since then, Emily Eavis has told Digital Spy, “We’ve got three headliners for next year, so that’s completely sorted. We’re in a really good position in that respect because it means we can now focus on the rest of the bill.”
According to The Sun, one of those mysterious headliners is Foo Fighters! With the source quoted saying: “Michael was quick to book him for next year as he’s desperate for Foos to headline. He knows they’ll go down a storm at Glasto. Dave agreed within seconds.”
Replacing them will be Florence + The Machine who were previously booked to appear before them on the bill.
In a recent interview with NME, Grohl gave his opinion on a petition against Glastonbury’s Saturday headliner, Kanye West, which attracted over 133,000 votes:
"I don't know that much about Kanye's music but right now Kanye vs Glastonbury is about as close to that old-school [Public Enemy] vibe as you're going to get," he added.
"I don't know who the dude is that started the petition but I think every one of those votes is only fuelling Kanye's f**king fire and it could be the greatest show of all time."
We hear you Dave! We’ve got our popcorn at the ready…
