G.R.L. Split Nearly 9 Months After Simone Battle's Death
The group have parted ways...
"Nearly 9 months following the tragic death of band member Simone Battle, girl group G.R.L. announces today that they are disbanding," read a statement from Kemosabe Records, RCA Records, Larry Rudolph and Robin Antin.
"We wish them continued success in each of their next creative endeavors," they added.
Battle sadly passed away in September 2014, with her death ruled as suicide by hanging.
The girls were helmed to be a sort of reboot of the Pussycat Dolls, but never issued a debut album in their 2 years together.
Lauren and Natasha of the group tweeted their sadness at the end of G.R.L. on Twitter, writing:
We can't wait to see what these talented girls do next!
