Tyler, The Creator has posted a series of cryptic tweets that pay homage to his group Odd Future, suggesting that the Hip-Hop collective have split up.
The controversial rapper, who has just dropped his third-studio album Cherry Bomb, wrote: “Although its no more, those 7 letters are forever.”
The seven letters Tyler could be referring to make up the acronym of the crew’s full title ‘Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All’ or ‘OFWGKTA’ for short.
The 24-year-old also reflected on time spent with the group, which was made up of a number of producers and artists including Earl Sweatshirt and previously, Frank Ocean.
The Channel Orange singer, who is gearing up to the release of his highly anticipated third-studio LP, has reportedly been recording at Abbey Road studios.
Tyler’s tweets suggest that the collective, who released a number of mixtapes and albums under the name Odd Future, have naturally grown apart.
Cherry Bomb is out now.
