Taylor Swift Celebrates Victory Against Apple Music, Proves She's Amazing

T-Swizzle wins again...

Taylor Swift is today celebrating after Apple Music decided to change its payment policy after the star stated in an open letter that she was refusing to let the company stream her album '1989' for free.

Over the weekend, the ‘Bad Blood’ singer took to Tumblr to dispute that subscribers had been offered a free three-month trial.

Branding the move “unfair” and arguing that Apple has the money to cover costs, Tay wrote: “I find it to be shocking, disappointing, and completely unlike this historically progressive and generous company.

"Three months is a long time to go unpaid, and it is unfair to ask anyone to work for nothing.”

She added: “We don't ask you for free iPhones. Please don't ask us to provide you with our music for no compensation."

After seeing her letter, Apple executive Eddy Cue took to Twitter to announce that the company would now pay artists for music streamed during the trial period.

He tweeted: “Apple will always make sure that artist are paid #iTunes #AppleMusic.

“#AppleMusic will pay artist for streaming, even during customer’s free trial period.”

Cue concluded: “We hear you @taylorswift13 and indie artists. Love, Apple.”

Tay thenreturned to Twitter to express her happiness over Apple’s decision, stating: “I am elated and relieved. Thank you for your words of support today. They listened to us.”

Her boyfriend Calvin Harris - who was busy playing at the EDC Festival in Las Vegas as the drama unfolded -also commented on the news, calling Tay his "girl" in a sweet tweet.

The 'Summer' hitmaker wrote:

It’s not the first time T-Swizzle has spoken out against a streaming music service, with the star pulling her entire back catalogue from Spotify last November after statingthe business had "shrunk the numbers of paid album sales drastically".

Way to go Tay!
