What's All This Who-Hah About The Who Headlining Glastonbury Festival?
After months of speculation,'Glastonbury Festival' organisers have revealed that the final headliners for this year’s festival will be *drum roll*The Who.
The band will close the Pyramid Stage on Sunday night (June 28) as part of their 50th Anniversary tour, but with acts including Oasis, Coldplay and Blur previously rumoured to play theWorthy Farm bash, it seems the recent announcement wasn't whateveryone was hoping for.
Following the news, frontman Roger Daltrey praised the festival and assured fans that the band will be on top form, stating:“It’s great to be ending this part of a 50 year career at the most prestigious and respected music festival in the world. We'll do our best to close this years event with a bang, unless of course the fireworks get wet!”
Daltrey and Pete Townshend, who last played the festival eight years ago, will be joined byFoo Fighters and Kanye West - who has also come under heavy criticism from revelers.
Supportingthe legendary Brit outfit will be special guest and fellowrockerPaul Weller, but it appears a supporting slot from'The Modfather' hasn't softened the blow for many fans who have taken to Twitter to voice their frustration.
