Anne-Marie & Olly Murs Announced For Groundbreaking Music 4 Mental Health Gig
The pop sensations are revealed as the first of many acts for the mental health initiative and fundraising event…
The award-winning mental health campaign #IAMWHOLE presents Music 4 Mental Health, a new initiative for 2018 bringing together incredible individuals, influential communities and the most prolific names in British music under one roof on Sunday 18th November.
Music 4 Mental Health, in partnership with the UK’s leading mental health charities The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), The Mix, YMCA aims to use the power of music to help break down the stigma and normalise the conversations surrounding mental health, in addition to raising vital funds for mental health projects targeting young people across the UK and Ireland.
Chart-topping sensation and former MTV Brand New winner Anne-Marie says: “It’s so important that we all speak up on mental health. The conversation and support around it is, thankfully, growing and this fundraiser will help grow that even more. I’m proud to be performing at the Music 4 Mental Health concert in November.”
Charismatic singer-songwriter Olly adds: “I’m delighted to be performing at the first Mental Health charity event this November alongside Anne-Marie, raising money for three fantastic charities. It’s important for the music industry to raise more awareness of mental health issues, and we hope this gig will help towards that.”
#IAMWHOLE founding ambassador Rizzle Kicks’ Jordan Stephens also returns to spearhead the concert as the evening’s MC and says: "Music is a language that everyone understands and has the power to unite people from all walks and thoughts of life.
“I can already feel the conversation opening up in regards to mental health so now it’s time to take action and really help people. With these great charities and the support of the music industry, we have a chance at doing something amazing."
