RIHANNA IS FIRST FEMALE ARTIST TO GAIN FIVE UK NUMBER ONE SINGLES

in News

Rihanna has firmly written herself into the history books by becoming the first ever female solo artist to have five UK number one singles. The Bajan beauty knocked X-Factor champ, Matt Cardle, off the number one spot, with her catchy ‘What’s My Name’ duet with Drake. Making her the first female solo musician (and second ever artist) in chart history to achieve five UK number one singles in consecutive years – a record jointly held with Elvis Presley...

The 22-year-old singer is currently dominating the official UK charts; not only has she secured the top spot, but her single ‘Only Girl In The World’ is sitting pretty at number nine, while her track, ‘Who’s That Chick’, with David Guetta is at number 10.

Not content with taking over the singles chart, RiRi is also number one in the album charts, beating off stiff competition from the likes off Take That and Plan B, to see her fifth studio album, ‘Loud’, climb to the top spot.
