Kendrick Lamar has spoken about what we can expect from his highly anticipated debut EP. It’s known that the rap newcomer has been in studio with the legendary Dr Dre, but he has now revealed to Billboard.com that he’s also been cooking up some heat with Pharrell Williams...
He said of the experience: "Pharrell really does this music like this is his first time in the studio. He still got that hunger. He's one of the producers that pulls out his keyboard and pulls up the session and make a crazy beat right front of you. We knocked out six records in two days. To hear all the music that he's making and reminisce [of] all the music that I love to listen to, he's making it right in front of me now is a crazy feeling."
Kendrick also spoke about rumours that he was due to work with A Tribe Called Quest MC and producer, Q-Tip: "We ain't lock in on the music side yet. Sometimes it’s best to feel the energy first before you go in the lab with a person."
When asked what other collaborations we can expect from the EP, K.Dot said he will be "sticking with a niche that's been working for me." We can expect Kendrick’s EP, which is yet to be named, to drop in the summer time.
