Last night was all about the Super Bowl. The star-studded sporting event was watched worldwide and featured A-list stars from all over the world. Nicki Minaj, Madonna and M.I.A. took to the stage to perform their new single, 'Gimme All Your Luvin', during halftime at the extravaganza...
However, the predominantly American audience were horrified when M.I.A "flipped the bird" whilst up on stage during her verse of the track. Following the finger gesture, the NBC network had to issue an apology to apologise for the profanity.
The network also told The Hollywood Reporter: "The NFL hired the talent and produced the halftime show. Our system was late to obscure the inappropriate gesture and we apologize to our viewers. There was a failure in NBC's delay system. The obscene gesture in the performance was completely inappropriate, very disappointing, and we apologize to our fans."
Overreaction much?
