Things have gone from bad to worse since M.I.A.’s middle finger stunt at the Super Bowl on Sunday. Madonna has reportedly expressed her anger on the situation, with a source saying: "Madonna wasn't impressed. She prides herself on professionalism. M.I.A did nothing similar in rehearsals..."
The source went on to say: "Nobody knew she was going to pull this stunt. Madonna wanted to put on a world-beating performance. But everyone ended up talking about this girl's middle finger."
Now reports have flown that M.I.A.’s fiancé has gone, well, MIA. Her partner of five years, Benjamin Bronfman, has been staying in New York with their son, Ikhyd, whilst M.I.A has been staying in London.
Sources told The New York Daily News that the singer can "sometimes go six weeks" without seeing her 3-year-old son. The rumours of their break up seemed to be real as a source also confessed they spotted him on what "looked like a date with a beautiful woman."
As well as relationship troubles and worldwide shunning, M.I.A. will also have a hefty fine to deal with if any fine is imposed on the broadcaster of the Super Bowl, NBC.
