JESSIE J STARTS WORK ON NEW ALBUM

in News

After winning an MTV Video Play Award for her song, 'Price Tag', Jessie J has been speaking about her second album. The raven-haired singer told The Daily Star that she is currently recording new material: "I was in the studio last week and am going back to LA on Thursday for the Grammy Awards. I'll do more out there..."

Jessie admitted expectations are higher this time around: "It's weird as the whole world is watching me going, 'When is it coming? It's so different from the first time.’ Then I was like, 'I'm doing an album and no one knows about it.' Now everyone keeps asking what it's about, but I haven't written it yet. I'm excited that I don't know what it sounds like. It's good pressure."

She added: "If I take on too much of the expectations from my fans, the world and the media I think I'd start to get a bit worried. I think if I chill and do what I do best, if I write about things I experience from my heart, that I think the world wants to hear, then it'll work."

As well as recording a high-in-demand album, going to the Grammy Awards, and being awarded by MTV, Jessica Cornish will also be performing alongside her mate, Ed SheeranJLS and Sir Paul McCartney at Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee this summer.
