Natalie Cassidy is engaged again to her former fiancé Adam Cottrell, she has revealed.
The former EastEnders star split from Cottrell back in 2011 after he assulated her twice and he was later convicted and sentenced to carry out 120 hours of community service.
But the 29-year-old has now told the Sunday Mirror that she and 33-year-old Cottrell are again engaged to be married - and trying for a second baby together.
She explained: "Adam’s behaviour was unacceptable, but so was mine. I can see that now. I often lashed out physically at him when arguments weren’t going my way. I would hit him or slap him out of frustration and anger.
"For a long time he never reacted but I pushed and pushed and eventually he pushed back. I can only see that now.
"After he snapped I was so consumed with shock, anger and hate. I was focused on being the victim. I couldn't see how I had contributed to what he did. In hindsight there's no getting away from it... I was to blame too."
And she admitted some people might not understand, but stressed that she is sure she is doing the right thing.
"I am so glad we gave it another shot because I love him.
"The week before last we were getting ready to fly to Dubai for my birthday and Adam said he had something to tell me. He told me he'd asked my dad for my hand in marriage again.
"It wasn't romantic like the first time he proposed when we were in Capri on holiday. He didn't go down on one knee, and the bed wasn't covered in rose petals. But it felt right."
