Naughty Boy On Course For First UK No.1 With ‘La La La’

According to today’s Official Chart Update, the producer who’s worked with the likes of Rihanna, Cheryl Cole, Tinie Tempah has shifted over 75,000 copies of the single, which looks set to comfortably dethrone Daft Punk from the top spot.

 

Naughty Boy – real name Shahid Khan – last reached the top 10 with Wonder Ft. Emeli Sande and his 2010 hit Never Be Your Woman Ft. Wiley and Emeli Sande was his highest-charting hit (until now) at No.8.

 

Elsewhere in the midweek Top 10, Daft Punk’s Get Lucky slips a place to No.2 after becoming the UK’s biggest selling single of 2013 so far, while Passenger slips to No.3 with Let Her Go.

 

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Rudimental however look set to remain at Nos 4 and 5 with Can’t Hold Us and Waiting All Night.

 

New entries in the chart come from 2 Chainz Ft Wiz Khalifa with We Own It (Fast & Furious) at No.6 – their UK Top 40 debut - plus Denmark’s 2013 Eurovision Song Contest winner Emmelie De Forest enters at No.10 with Only Teardrops.
