NERVO Soundtrack Your Weekend With This Bangin' Playlist

Get to know the sisters that little bit better here with their personal picks of tunes from Armand van Helden to David Guetta...

At the end of last year Mim and Liv, better known as Australian DJ duo NERVO, spent three weeks at No.1 on Beatport with their R3hab and Ummet Ozcan collab 'Revolution'.

Regular performers on the main stage of all the major global dance festivals including 'Ultra', 'Tomorrowland' and the UK's very own 'Creamfields', the pair are also accomplished songwriters having penned songs for David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, Kesha and more.

Now, their debut artist album 'Collateral' is on the horizon, they've just dropped their latest single 'It Feels' and inevitably 2015 is looking very exiting for them both.

To celebrate their latest musical offering Mim and Live have hand-picked a playlist of songs that have played a part in their musical evolution up 'til now and you can take 'em for a whirl here…

Armand Van Helden - 'You Don't Know Me'

"This was our first memory of dance music. It was released at a time when we were under age so we had to sneak out to go to clubs. It's crazy to think that fast forward a few years and we are now good friends with the singer Duane Harden. We released a track with Duane last year called 'Sunshine Thru Rain Clouds'. Armand is playing our 'NERVONation' party at WMC Miami this year so we're hoping he drops this track in his set :)"

DVBBS and Borgeous - 'Tsunami'

"This tune came out of nowhere and had everybody in awe. The rhythms in the riff and the beat made it stand out. Triplets are never fun to mix in or out of but it definitely does it's job on the dancefloor and we still play it a lot in our sets."

Shapeshifters - 'Lola's Theme'

"What a riff! It just brings an instant good vibe. And then, when it was re-released with that soulful vocal it was a home run. We were living in the UK at the time it came out, bar tending and hustling. We hunted down the singer - Cookie, and released a record with her about four years ago called 'Something To Believe In'."

Michel Cleis - 'La Mezcla' (Original Mix)

"Love the flute. It gets in your ear and you're whistling it all day and night long. You can feel the sunshine in the groove. To us, this takes us to a daytime party in Ibiza."

Everything But The Girl - 'Missing'

"This whole era of vocal house has had a massive influence on us. We love the (perfect) imperfections in the vocal. It's easy to get caught up in gadgets and gizmos like autotune etc., back when producers didn't have all those tools they relied on the performance and emotion. It's super important that all the records we write catch this emotion."

Calvin Harris - 'Feel So Close'

"For us, this is the perfect pop-meets-dance tune. Love the guitar riff. Calvin's transition from a pop artist, to a dance artist, to nowa mega superstar, has been an incredible journey to watch. We love that he is constantly evolving and this evolution is a true inspiration to us."

Kiesza - 'Hideaway'

"Love this record. Love her vocals and love the track. It's great to see Kiesza shoot into the mainstream but still keep her edge and originality."

The Prodigy - 'Breathe'

"Whether you call it Rave, Hardcore Techno, Industrial, Jungle or Breakbeats, The Prodigy made music that was BAD ARSE! Their live show is pure epicness. They are true artists who continue to push boundaries."

David Guetta Ft. Kelly Rowland - 'When Love Takes Over'

"This was the first song we wrote for David Guetta. It was our first number one as writers and it opened up our world to new opportunities. We still can't believe it won a grammy!"

NERVO's new single 'It Feels' is out now.
