Child Star Jake Lloyd From Star Wars: The Phantom Menace Is Arrested For Reckless Driving
And not in one of those space pod things.
When it comes to child stars who found fame VERY early on, there’s typically quite a lot of drama that follows them throughout life.
Well, step forward Jake Lloyd, who played Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace way back in 1999, as he’s been arrested for reckless driving.
According to TMZ, Jake was involved in a high-speed car chase after refusing to pull over for local police in Charleston, but after some miles he lost control of the car, running it off the road and crashing into a wooded area.
The 26-year-old was then arrested for dangerous driving, failing to stop, resisting arrest and driving without a license.
Jake was apparently arrested on Wednesday (June 17), but was still being held in custody as of Sunday (June 21).
Of course, there are a million podracing jokes to make here, but we are way above that – and also, Jingle All The Way was clearly Jake’s real acting peak, and now we have a serious craving to watch it. In June.
