Could TFIOS’ Nat Wolff And Shailene Woodley Be Reuniting On-Screen For New Spider-Man Movie?

John Green may as well just write the script then.

Ever since the new, rebooted Spider-man franchise was announced, with Andrew Garfield officially losing his role as Spidey, rumours about the next actor who will get to wear the red and blue suit have been flying around non-stop.

But while absolutely NOTHING has been confirmed for the new movie (the only confirmed detail is that it’ll hit cinemas in July 2017), it seems there could be a little John Green reunion party going on if fans have their way.

After The Wrap reported that the Spidey actor shortlist had been revealed with Nat Wolff as one of the lucky five, it’s being suggested that he and Shailene Woodley could be reuniting on-screen.

The pair starred in ‘The Fault In Our Stars’ together, and while they weren’t love interests in the movie, a LOT of fans would like to see that play out (even if it isjust in a film).

Shailene Woodley was previously linked to the last Spider-man franchise (you know, the one starring Andrew Garfield), and was set to star as Mary Jane – but now that the whole Spidey world has changed thanks to him being re-introduced back into the Marvel universe, Shailene is technically no longer involved in the project. YET.

The ‘Divergent’ star was recently asked if she’d still be game to play the role of Mary Jane in the new franchise, to which she said: "Oh, yeah. I didn't know that [they were doing another movie] actually. That's amazing… Heck yeah!”

So, Sony and Marvel, if you’re listening – we would TOTALLY get on board with a Nat Wolff and Shailene Woodley fronted Spider-man. Please make it happen.
