Jurassic World Is Officially Roar-Some After Taking $511M On Its Opening Weekend

Jurassic World, the sequel to the classic 1995 dino romp Jurassic Park, grossed a record cash-in of $511m over the last few days, making it the first film to take over $500m at the box office on its opening weekend...
The film proved to be especially popular over in the US, where the Universal Pictures release earned the title of second-highest grossing film on an opening weekend in the States.
The film took in a total of $204.6m there, which came close to the record holding Avengers Assemble which grossed $207.4m back in 2012.
The Sci-Fi blockbuster starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard is directed by Colin Trevorrow and was co-produced by Steven Spielberg who directed the first two films Jurassic Park and The Lost World.
